To those who are so "positive" about it: I wonder whether you would give this advice to my friend who was in an abusive marriage? Her husband was physically abusing her and controlling her movements to the point where she had to climb out of a second-story window, at night, to finally get away from him and into a women's shelter. If she took this advice, she'd still be with him. Would you really recommend that? Think about it!
