Thank you for clarifying (your reply makes a lot of sense) and also for your kind words.

I loved "How to Be Sick"! It was especially great that I read it right after taking a mindfulness-based stress reduction course for people with chronic illness...it reinforced a lot of what I had just learned, and provided valuable, interesting, and unique coping strategies. Overall, it felt like a safe port amid the storm of managing chronic illness.

Back to Facebook, I tried it many times and found that it was simply not for me. But I am glad to hear that you and others have found it helpful and beneficial. This reminds me of the quote, "One person's medicine may be another person's poison.” This is actually quite true in medical treatment, even!
