Fear has been the language of politics forever, even before George Washington. On the left, many years before Donald Trump, there has been fear-stoking about climate change, gun ownership, and more. Both sides are culpable.
When you claim one side's fears are reasonable while the other is not you only serve to encourage the problem and further divide us.
