When my daughters were in their teens, they didn't listen to the likes of Madona and Mariah Carey. They got into classic rock, Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle and Ravi Shankar, fine with me, that was my music too.
They have introduced me to some of the folk-bluegrass artists like Civil Wars, Arborea and rockers like Hosier. They are young artists but their music isn't bubble-gum pop. There is some talent out there, but it's harder to find.
