Sharing personal information brings people closer together. But how do you know when you’ve gone too far—or when someone else has ulterior motives?

I am an introvert and my boyfriend is very extroverted. Luckily he understands this part of me and knows when to give me my space. Because I feel so comfortable with him, I rarely feel like I need real alone time - usually a quiet evening at home with him is enough for me to unwind. The cool part about this computability is that he is my ally and quiet corner during social situations. He knows how I can feel uncomfortable and can handle taking the spotlight and chat everybody up, and I can sit quietly and listen, and chime in every so often, without feeling anxious and seeming rude or stuck up (as I often feel in my awkward silence). It has been a really neat - and relieving - discovery in our relationship :)
