You seem to have a similar setup to me Splint. My wife is also an extrovert. She used to complain that I spend my evenings at home. "Go out and make new friends" which is easy for her but not me. She likes going to clubs with her friends, I don't. However she has come to accept this.
I am happy for her to go out with her friends without me in tow. Having only recently learned more about introverts I have also begun to educate her as well. I think she understands me better now because of this.
We do occasionally go out together and in future I think we'll have to devise an exit strategy. Previously it's been when she wants to leave which is long past when I want to!
