i agree that its quite possible amy winehouse was tormented by her own success. this dynamic can quite likely play out in the life of the average person, whose expections of themselves and sense of themselves, clashes with their own abilities.
for example, a person thinks they are not capable when in fact they are. when they try for competency, its not comfortable for them to view themselves as competent so they knock themselves down. and then they build themselves up.
