I had to double-check to see who wrote this blog and the rude, immature response to Anne's comment. You may have a strong point of view, but you are not persuasive to me because you sound like someone who may be moderating drinking, but has not had emotional or spiritual recovery. The 12steps programs offer so much more than abstinence from ones addictive substance - working the steps helps people to grow up. You might consider a more thoughtful argument for your view rather that attacking others.
