This is a wonderful article. I've written about Paradoxical Insomnia too, but having it come from a Doctor, and not just some guy with insomnia, is gratifying. If I was to repost this article on my website (with attribution) would anybody be upset?
My first understanding of the paradoxical side of insomnia was when, convinced that I had no sleep the prior night, I used a Zeo Sleep Monitor and actually measured my sleep. I got between 5 and 6 hours of sleep, even though I thought I was awake all night. Your hint of "seemed to function normally the next day" always applied to me - so I guess I fall into that 5%!!!!
