I have found that for genuine insomnia, thiamine in a large dose about 1/2 hour before bed works wonders! This after much experimentation. It was originally a suggestion by a naturopath I know. I had to adjust the dose for my own needs. My insomnia came from prescribed pharmaceuticals. I didn't need those drugs. I am saddened that psychiatrists prescribe these without considering the long-term effects.
