Jean Kim M.D.
Jean Kim, M.D. is a psychiatrist for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at George Washington University. She has an M.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Johns Hopkins University and has been a nonfiction fellow at the Writers’ Institute at the Graduate Center of CUNY. Her work has been published in The Washington Post, Salon, The Daily Beast, The American Scholar, Dame, Aeon, Bethesda Magazine, In These Times, The Rumpus, and more. She received her B.A. in English from Yale University and her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia, was formerly on the psychiatry faculty at Mount Sinai and Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, and has worked with active-duty soldiers at Fort Meade, MD and has also worked at the State Department.
