Josh Dodes LCSW

Josh Dodes, LCSW is a psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice. Much of his practice and writing focuses on "unhappy achievers": high-functioning, often perfectionistic individuals whose self-esteem is based too much on having to achieve. While they are often quite successful on the outside, these "unhappy achievers" often feel empty and unfulfilled inside. This conflict can predispose them to anxiety, depression, and a wide range of other psychological issues.

Josh received his BA in psychology from Yale University and his MSW from New York University. He has been published in the Clinical Social Work Journal, and maintains a private practice in Philadelphia. He also works remotely with individuals throughout Pennsylvania and New York.
