Naveed Saleh M.D., M.S.

Naveed Saleh, MD, MS, is a full-time writer and editor. He attained a bachelor's degree in biology from Cornell University, a medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, and a master's degree in science journalism (with an informal concentration in psychology) from Texas A&M University in College Station. Naveed has written and edited for a variety of national publications, as well as covered various medical conferences. Naveed was a contributing writer at The New Physician magazine, where he performed a professional internship and won a 2010 Apex Award for Health & Medical Writing. Naveed has written for About Health, Verywell, MDLinx and Medscape. Naveed's first book with a major publisher (Writer's Digest Books/F+W Media) was released in January 2014 and in December 2014 became an Amazon bestseller. The book is titled The Complete Guide to Article Writing: How to Write Successful Articles for Online and Print Markets. Naveed is also an instructor, consultant and course developer with Writer's Digest. Naveed's second major book, The Writer's Guide to Self-Editing: Essential Tips for Online and Print Publication (McFarland), was released in March 2019.
