Tim Leberecht

Tim Leberecht is a German-American author, entrepreneur, and a passionate voice for a human future of work. His most recent TED talk, “4 Ways to Build a Human Company in the Age of Machines” (2016), has already been viewed by more than 1.5 million people. Tim’s book, THE BUSINESS ROMANTIC (HarperCollins, 2015), was an international bestseller and has been translated into nine languages to date. He is the founder of The Business Romantic Society, a firm that helps organizations create transformative visions, stories, and experiences. Previously, Tim served as the CMO of NBBJ, a global design and architecture firm. From 2006 to 2013, he was the CMO of the product design and innovation consultancy Frog Design. Tim’s writing appears in publications such as Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, Inc., Psychology Today, and Wired. He has spoken at venues including DLD, The Economist, SXSW, and Thinking Digital. Tim served on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Values from 2011-2016 and was recently appointed to the Forum’s Europe Policy Group. He is the co-founder and co-curator of the dinner series 15 Toasts, the co-founder of the House of Beautiful Business, and a senior advisor with creative consultancy A Hundred Years. After 15 years in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Tim now lives in Berlin with his wife and daughter.
